While members of [Company] often get verbal status reports and updates from leadership, we lack a reporting structure that allows us to track our progress. The performance of our company affects all of us, and we believe that implementing a monthly leadership-led, company-wide reporting structure will benefit both staff and management.

Along with allowing management to communicate with [Company] staff, these reports would also allow for employees to have transparent and open communication with leadership. From discussing pain points to discussing excellent performance, these reports can help everyone at [Company] see how they’re doing in the eyes of their coworkers.

While there are products out there to streamline these types of reports, there are lots of free and inexpensive solutions as well. Many project management systems have reporting built in, and can help with general organization as well as reporting.

We are requesting that [Company] leadership:

  • Implement monthly company-wide meetings for leadership to communicate with employees
  • Conduct an employee survey on what topics should be covered in these monthly meetings
  • Establish which reporting metrics will be used in each meeting to hold leadership accountable
  • Create within 6 weeks a performance incentive structure tied to reports.
