Since the start of the Covid-19 pandemic in early 2020, workers around the country have experienced greater financial struggles than ever before. To help their employees in this unprecedented time, some companies have begun providing employees with daily paychecks so that they can immediately access the money they work so hard to earn.

Like many other workers, staffers at [Company] have felt the financial strain of the pandemic. Many on our team have had to pay bills and rent late in spite of working enough to cover them because they are waiting for paychecks. Many on our staff support their families and themselves, and may be supporting out-of-work family members on the money they make at [Company] . Some have had to resort to predatory payday lenders or overdraft their accounts in order to buy groceries, all while knowing they have money coming to them that they can’t access until a certain day.

By providing staff with daily paychecks, [Company] can assert its people-first values and help increase workplace satisfaction while decreasing financial stress, which understandably spills over into the workday for those of us who are struggling. There are a number of payroll companies like DailyPay and Greendot that allow employees to take out money whenever they need it, and established companies like ADP and Fiserv allow for this option as well.

  • Take employee recommendations on which daily pay program works best for our staff within two weeks.
  • Make a good faith effort to enroll with the payroll service a majority of employees choose.
  • Implement this new payroll service within 6 weeks.
